Jock Summer: Day 60, Two Month Marker and an Interlude

by Aelfreich

No real monthly update, beyond YEAH I DID IT. Mostly because, with the weather like it is, I can't workout outside without heatstroke, and there's not much space inside to do anything major. Have improved my ability to do pushups, though.

And now for an interlude, where I ask a favor. I don't know if any of you believe in the power of prayer(or power of positive thinking, for the secular Humanists; atheists, as their name implies, don't believe shit, so they're excused from the rest of this post) but I certainly do. My beloved uncle(one of them, I've got several, and aunts too) has been on dialysis for many months now, and he's been having serious problems. His health continues to deteriorate, and now he faces the possibility of a coughing fit having given him a hernia which is resulting in massive swelling throughout his lower body, putting him in immense pain and threatening his life.
I'm aware, theologically, that if God intends to extend my uncle's tenure on our little planet, one prayer would be as effective as a thousand; still, if the Supreme Being isn't going to put His/Her/Its/Their(Divinity: worse for pronouns and verb tenses than schizophrenia and time travel combined) nose into it, then maybe a whole bunch of them will snow the Angel of Death under paperwork, at least.
Please, bros(and Kitsukat; technically the female equivalent is Bro-Ho, but it just sounds odd), keep my uncle in your thoughts and prayers. Laters.

I'm afraid that I'm under the belief that prayer does nothing, hence why it never heals amputees, however I will use my inner willpower to hope for your uncles health and well-being and that he himself will be able to fight on while medics try to heal him.

I'm a complete atheist myself. I just feel praying is a way of making yourself feel better. i.e. "I feel self-concious, God. Please help me to feel proud of myself" You'll then feel better because you believe someone's done that; much like hypnosis. But, yeah, he's in my thoughts, bro!
