Started Again

by hotstacy4a5

So . . . every day, I struggled: take my pills or not. Be true to my self or not. So, I started again. It felt so good, comfortable, where I needed to be. But, I got anxious again, and quit a couple of days later. But started again because I need to be true to myself. Then, I stopped because what happens when my wife or kids find out (I haven't told anyone, yet, except here). I couldn't keep doing this to my body, to my mind. So, I have resolved (permanently, I hope) to DO THIS!!! 4 days so far, my longest since first stopping. Wish me luck and boobs and finding the opportunity to talk with my family.

You mentioned that earlier you had an appt with your Dr. In June. I might suggest you hold off on doing much until then and tell your doctor about your needs. Having someone to talk to about this AND knowing your medical history would be a huge plus as some herbs and other things could cause serious interactions in some people. That said, if you were still certain you wanted to complete your change, he could get you to a professional that could help facilitate it and also get you into the right HRT that would work best for you. Personally, that would be the way I'd approach it. I think you really emotionally, seriously want the change, and I think it would be the best for you because if you don't, you will never be satisfied with yourself because you will always have that hunger gnawing at you. Expressing it to family and the social stigma are always going to be the biggest hurdles and unfortunately there usually isn't a smooth road for that but maybe your Dr. could refer you to a specialist in trans issues (which is usually required anyway before you start an HRT regimen) who could help you with the family and social issues. Anyway, I commend you for being true to yourself and wish you much good luck!
