I haven't read "The Control BooK", but one of my first readings for hypnosis was "Look Into My Eyes". It is extremely helpful for someone getting started, and I still use modified versions of a couple of techniques he mentioned.

Be friendly, conversational, and funny. Don't worry about hypnosis, since you're initially dealing with a very superficial interaction. People on dating sites are looking through a lot of profiles at once, which tends to cause them to skim through it and decide which ones to answer.

As long as the subject knows in advance that it is a curse, I don't see anything unethical.

There are programs that can handle it. I personally use GarageBand for audio mixing. It would easy to bring in multiple files, adjust the volumes, and export them as one or more output files.

I agree with Cardigan. I've had a subject suddenly pop out of trance because she had her foot hooked back on a chair, and she immediately came out of it when the pins and needles started. We got her reseated, and in a few minutes we were right where we left off, but a file can't do that for you.

Not to sound too simplistic, but is it possible that it takes you that long to come out of trance because you expect it to take that long? I've seen many times where a subject had a unique reaction to a trance because it was what their mind expected to happen as part of the trance.

I've done sessions as long as two hours, but these can be very mentally tiring for the subject. For longer sessions, I recommend that you also suggest that they have a high level of energy when it's over, and that they feel like it was only ten minutes of trance.

I agree with allergies being a learned response. Most of my allergies were cured by controlled exposure. The only major allergy I still have is cats, and a lot of that is my intense dislike for them. ;-) Keep in mind that none of my allergies were food allergies.

I've learned that a lot that people view as inside is really outside. For instance, people have things that they view as morals, but they will violate these morals in dreams without feeling guilty. In that case, it's really more of an inhibition, nothing more than suppression of behavior for society...
