Why are you against it

Personally, some of these files I seen in the voting page are good ideas but they don't seem to be popular. In the end, I then wonder, why are you against it.

I can understand when people dislike the fetish purpose of it, but if it is meant to help people, or at least give a pleasurable experience with little harm done, why are people so against it.

Example: Leash and Whistle Restriction:

Summary: Completely self triggerable on and off

Leash - Purpose it to make it so you don't wander into some one elses back yard and do some crazy harm to yourself, or others (If you want that to happen, then don't say the trigger.)

Whistle - Make it so if a conversation goes into something where you may here the trigger, you cannot hear a person (Like some words are blocked out), so they won't see you going hypno, and you can have a normal office meeting or something along those lines.

This topic has been debated at length elsewhere on the site. Do a search.

It is the most recently updated post on the boards excluding the one you just made. Seriously...

No it hasn't. Despite the use of the word "against" in the subject line, this post is not part of the debate about the 'vote against' button.

Read the original post. He appears to be asking why a certain couple of files aren't more popular.

And to answer that: The public is a fickle creature. I've seen file suggestions move a few places up the list and then get pruned, only to be reposted a month later and prove massively popular.

And then there are the 'contraries' who vote against almost everything, just because someone else came up with the idea instead of them

:D
