Bunny. ^^

I'd burrow under blankets on my couch and get all cozy warm.

If I could get the file to work I'd also enjoy a squirrel form. I have a "thing" for transformations, but especially for ones where there's an obvious physical change or something drastic to get used to. A big fuzzy, furry, squirrel tail bobbing along behind me would send me into titters of hysteria every time it got in my way. ^^

Furry is starting to get the same definition as Animorph (I think that's the correct spelling).

Starting?

Dragons, lizards, fish, birds, etc. were already accepted back in the days before alt.fan.albedo was replaced by alt.fan.furry.

Sorry,

I've been recetly seeing Animorph used more in the place of furry, and as far as I can remember fur sites have always Excepted dragons, lizards, fish, birds, and other non-furry types. I just assumed more then I should have, and ried not to make my statement a hard knock.

BTW, TheKnife, I have seen a few fuzzy dragons, but mine is gold scaled.

 I just had to post here. I'm not too interested in these types of files right now but the idea does interest me. I have to admit that at times I feel like I have a tail and wings. Maybe these files would work well on me. Well on to the original reason why I decided to post. What does everybody mean when they say furry? I know very little about this what I've heard is that a furry is a half-human half-animal that has fur. Am I wrong on this? If that is pretty much the definition then if you include those without fur then I think the more appropriate term would be wereanimal. I have read the Animorphs books and an Animorph is a human transforming almost completely into an animal, they retain their human mind.

Werecreatures can be a furry, but in most furry stories, the furry does not morph, they just are, there for they are not a werecreature, I think though the true definition of Animorph, is a animal with human characteristics, of any type (I could be wrong on that one though). If you wanted wings and a tale, that would come close to a type of furry I have seen a few times, and I would say the tale makes that form a furry, but I'm not sure. Maybe a few other furries can help out here.

A cheetah, though servals are cool too.

Foxes are really neat, but they have a very strong smell. (no offense to anyone who wants to be a fox.)

I wonder if mermaid is part of the furry univers now. Anyone else that would know?! Please an answer.

I don't think that they are. A furry is basically an anthropomorphic animal, an animal shaped like a human. A mermaid falls into the catagory of demi-human, or a creature that has clearly human and animal shaped areas. A good rule of thumb is that If it has a human or mostly human head, it is a demi-human, and if it has an animal head it is a furry. Another reason that mermaids and furries shouldn't be put together, is that they rarely mix. If you look around on the internet you will see that you have sites devoted to mermaids, and sites devoted to furries, and they are not often seen together(except for individual artist sites, which don't really count, because most of their work is done on commision anyway).

Here is a good example of what could be considered a furry:

And here is a mermaid:

As you can see, there is a considerable difference

I gess then it would have to go up under mithological creatures. Although I have seen amny mithological creatures as furries.

Which mytholgical creatures?

Werecreatures, Minitars, and Dragons, are the first ones that comes to mind.

well, that makes sense. except for dragons that do not have any fur.

Do you think were lumping them together simply for hypnosis purposes? cause that is what it seem like.

And do really hairy guys qualify as "furries"?

PostPosted: March 17th, 2006, 9:23 pm
by goldragon_70
no they have been considered a furry for a while. Maybe because there is alot of people that like dragons. This is why I'm not sure if merpeople are furries.

PostPosted: March 17th, 2006, 9:27 pm

mabye we should have a seperate file? that would clear a lot of things up.

PostPosted: March 17th, 2006, 9:43 pm
by goldragon_70
Well idealistically, all transformations should have there own file. I figured it would be easier to have files made that focuses on transforming different parts of the body, and let the listener fill in the details of what the transformation is to. So wings, skin, shaping, facial features, and perception augmentations.

I suppose my problem, is that I need some kind of trigger, verbal or otherwise, to make it work. Permanancy would probably land me in a nuthouse. :(

Tranceform furry is, but truthfully, it doesn't apply to most things that don't have fur. Most people have a hard time ying to visualise scales or other types of skin when they hear fur.

Not a bad Idea. I sujest if you can, to download a few scripts, to get an Idea of frazing. The bigger problem is getting some one to record the script.
