Do you have headmates that are willing to participate? Otherwise your ideas doesn't really make sense. If you do, it's possible.

only way I can see this even working is to first have a tulpa and then switch?
I get more confused each time I think of this.

The only way I can imagine is to cultivate a Tulpa and then trying to swap places, letting the tulpa take over your body and suppressing you, turning you into a helpless prisoner in your own body. It is not something I would do.
