induction for analytical mind

Postby lindylead » May 3rd, 2010, 11:44 pm

Does anyone know of a good induction for a very analytical mind? I have a very mathmatical mind. Every time I hear an induction with a numbered count down, I become hyper-vigilent and determined to make it to the bottom of the count. This pulls me out of the induction.

Does anyone know of a good induction script that doesn't have a count backwards or the word 'obey' in it?

THIS!

I would definitely like to hear of any files that would help with this. I think far too rationally for me to achieve trance or hypnosis easily :\

There are certain techniques that are supposed to be used for an unusually analytical mind... My impression is that it would be difficult to do in a file format.

As for such an induction, I cannot seem to think of any specific files.

My suggestion to you is that you try to learn to not fight it. Or try watching a decent hypnosis spiral while you're listening to an induction. After all, the great majority of files on this website often use the word "obey" or have a countdown of some sort, and it would be a shame to not be able to try files if you're interested in them.

I definitely think you can learn how to trance easier with practice; at least, that has been my experience.

Best of luck to you!

I'm also very analyitcal. The inductions I've had the best experiences with have been:

Cardigan - Deep Trance
Cardigan - Gradual Induction

EMG - Elman Induction
EMG - 7 Plus or Minus 2
EMG - Divinely Feminine Induction (not free)
MistE - Counting Induction
Sarnoga - Magic Induction

Offsite ones that I have good experiences with are:

Wendi Friesen - Deep Trance
Wendi Friesen - Double Induction
Wendi Friesen - Induction
Wendi Friesen - HypnoGenius (not free, so no link)

I still don't go deep enough to black out, though, even though I've been trying for many years.

in one book I read on hypnosis it said that hyper-analytical people (like myself) often are too impatient for progressive relaxation (a.k.a. "Let me bore you into a daze") inductions and similar... the author (a hypnotherapist who was mentored by Charles Tebbets) said that for clients like that he has better luck with Shock or Confusion Inductions and 7 +/-2. Analytical and Asperger's types tend to maintain a death grip on patterns and details, so if you can derail them from their comfortable, self-controlled track by overwhelming or confusing them, that can drop their guard and let you slip in.
