Server Crash

Postby EMG » June 23rd, 2017, 9:05 pm

I know that the server crash probably caused a LOT of headaches for everyone but we should be back online now. Read the file at https://warpmymind.com/Crash.html for more information.

If you have any questions please ask.

Progress report. Most everything is functioning, we are still pushing data as fast as my 30Mbps connection will allow.

That may seem like a lot until you realize I'm pushing 180GB. The good news, 126GB to go.

We are currently done with all EMG files, if you find a broken one let me know. We should be good with all the content that's available for every user up to Cardigan(alphabetically)

I'm going to do a cleanup here later of all orphaned files(files that show up in the system but we have no data for). If you've uploaded files, check the list of your uploads, if you see files without data(no mp3, body, etc) it needs to be re-uploaded, just choose edit and re-send the file or delete.

Thanks to EVERYONE for your support.

Suggestion : I know you reached out to the creators to get as much hypnosis files back as possible, but some of them probably don't have any of their files any more or are not active with the website. So what if you set up a user based file return thing. If a user has a file that is not on the website from the past year they send it to you or someone willing to help to get it back on the list. This would probably cause a bit more headache and time issues but it may be worth a shot.

That is a possibility, I wanted to start with the original authors because it is their content. In a month or so when things have settled down I may do something like that as I know at least one person who has a HUGE collection of content from WMM.

Files appear to be coming in which is a good thing. GoddessGracie and MsJ are reposting their content and I have reached out to 192 file authors who's files are currently incomplete. My current intent is to give people about a month to restore their lost content and then I may ask for help from the userbase for whatever is left.

Upload status: we have 96GB of data still remaining to be pushed. We are almost done with H and would probably have been done sooner but Haxsaw produced a huge quantity of work.

At this time I have restored everything I can and have reached out to the authors of all the orphaned files(500+) and all the payfiles(1200+) that were lost.

It's pretty much in the hands of the users now.

Thanks to EVERYONE for their patience!!!

P.S. Yes Hypno-Fetish and emghypnosis are still down, they are next on my list.

Are files from the last 2 years that were or were soon going to be free going to be premium again when they are re-uploaded?

Sadly, yes, I'm probably going to do something to mitigate that but that is how it is at the moment.

Hmm my redownloaded file seems to be accessible without that, and i also didn't get a premium for it... so i assume it knew the entry was old, and just needed the file added to it again?
Or was already something done to mitigate things?
take your time to get to know the hypnotists before you allow anyone to hypnotize you - it may really pay out in the end

Yeah, if you had a file that needed content re-added it won't change whether it's premium or not. it's only new content that will affect that.

It's been six months since the crash, this is a friendly reminder that a fresh backup would probably be a good idea.

The system currently does nightly backups to 2 separate locations + weekly and monthly. We ain't going back down that rabbit hole.

Awesome. I noticed that new free files are not cycling in, all the reupload dates should be hitting 6 months right about now.
