Suggestions anyone?

Ok, I currently have a list of changes that I intend to make to WMM, if you haven't noticed a few of them have been implemented recently. So, since I am not omniscient, does anyone have any suggestions of their own. I won't guarantee that they'll make the list, but they may.

I originally posted this as a thread but it seemed overkill so I am just copy, delete and pasting here.

Styling inconsistency I noticed while browsing.
On forum pages that are opened in a new tab. The new tab title "Warp my mind". On any other page the title is "WarpMyMind". This inconsistency only happens on forum pages that are opened in a new tab.

It isn't a server dying and it may even be by design but pointing this out should be able to give EMG his recommended daily dose of web admin stress. :)

That is TOTALLY bizarre, I expect I know where to change it but I'd have never noticed it.

I'd like to be able to track not just the files downloaded but also which and how many files are paid for.

I do intend to build a tool like that for my payfile authors. I haven't yet but it may happen in the next couple months.

Second the pay tracking suggestion.

Since you ask, a breakdown of file ratings rather than just the average could be interesting, both for authors and listeners.

Thank you for the work you do,
Z

I'd like to have an alert or subscribe option or just some way to track comments on files. I've made comments on files a long time ago and would like to be able to easily find my comments and see if they've been replied or responded to.

We are working on just that, both for file comments, new files, stories, possibly even pictures and forum posts.

I currently have a working prototype of a system for tracking sales for those of us who produce payfiles. Since it is not complete(and still has 1 known bug) Any payfile author willing to test it should drop me a PM or email. I'm hoping to have it live at the end of the month.

Wow, you really pulled through on that 'end of the month' promise. Following through on developments like that is not easy, as projects usually take longer than expected. So bravo for that.

Technically there is still 1 known bug, but it only happens in the rare event of a refund and I have a manual workaround. I suspect as it gets used by other authors I may get some recommendations for changes/upgrades to the system, but this new system is a complete break from our previous manual bookkeeping so it wasn't done lightly and I had to double check everything to make sure that the data you see is always accurate.

I somewhat new here, but here is a suggestion. Is it possible for someone on the site, such as yourself, to take the top voted file from the voting page and make it. Because I looked through them and very few have been done by anyone on the site. Not only that but it would encourage people to post more suggestions. As an added bonus whoever suggested the file gets a free copy while everyone else has to pay for it.

I miss being able to edit my comments after I post them. I see too many grammatical errors and typographical mistakes as well as some HTML errors that I don't see before I post the comment. I have an almost OCD-like need to fix them. I do not (quite) have OCD.

I will look into allowing edit/deletion of comments after they have been posted. Don't expect it this week :)

Does anyone else prefer monthly payments instead of bi-monthly? You can save a few dollars by paying a little less transfer fees and EMG can spend less time sending out payments.

I tend to prefer bi-monthly and in some cases even more often than that. A couple of the authors earn a good bit and I don't like sitting on that much money in PayPal. Still, if you want to be paid monthly just let me know and I'll adjust the frequency. I can also pay US residents via ACH.

Yeah I've heard Paypal is liable to freeze accounts but it looks fine if you are doing it regularly and not getting sudden huge payments.
Just do whatever is easiest for you.

they only freeze things if you do something odd. As to payments, paying once a month, or every time it reaches $x isn't any harder than how I do it now. I just have to make a note on your account.
