I'll see if there's a more recent version. The chat area is kinda outside my domain, someone else runs it entirely and hopefully he'll pipe up about where to go on IRC to chat.

The private server that is used souly by the Warp My Mind site is actually located at IP 65.6.176.82 port 6667 the main channel is #warpmymind.

If you have any connection issues feel free to ask away.

IRC Clients that are known to connect for windows can be found here :-

Hi All,

I can confirm that irc.warpmymind.com is now working, please use this to connect to the server on port 6667 and in your ident field/email address for those that know how to use it, please put your WarpMyMind member id, this way if you have any issues we can contact you via the WMM private message system.

If you have any problems connecting please feel free to leave a message on this thread and one of the Channel Op's will respond.

Happy Chatting

Rogue.

Ok, is anyone aware of a better chat module that will work with IRC and can be added to the site? This on has annoyed people for years. It functions, but is apparently less than ideal.

Hi All,

Just as a possible work around you could try http://www.mibbit.com/ you will need to specify other server and put in the irc information as it is below but once you do then you should be able to connect from any operating system, This is already in use by a couple of chatters in the room so we know it works!

server name: irc.warpmymind.com:6667
channel name: #warpmymind
nickname: your name here

when it connects it will create a tab with the channel name, just click the tab to take you in.

These are the main platforms Mibbit is tested under, and is known to work with.

Firefox 1.5+, Prism, Mozilla based
IE6+
Safari (Including iPhone/iPod touch)
Opera (Including opera on Nintendo wii)

So I hope this helps, and will also save a little bandwith for EMG's site to let you download your mp3's and browse the forums
