Sure. Look at the Latin-based names like Dominic. There are probably thousands of them. I bet there's a northern European somewhere named Peder Ast.

And in R/L, how about this one. Anwar Sadat's complexion was considerably darker than Nasser's...in a region where such things matter. Nasser used to call Sadat by the French homonym of his first name:

Anwar. Âne Noir. Black jackass.
