I hate bigots.

And this makes me one (because I hate a specific type of person), so I hate myself. 8O

Clicking on the last page number under a topic on a forum summary page, then finding a page with no posts at all and having to go back and click on the next-to-last page number under that topic! Argh!

I have had the same experience several times today...and for the last several months. There's a principal reason for it.

At one point about three months ago a very large number of posts were removed one weekend. As you probably know, each page in a Forum thread is set up to hold 15 posts. Suppose a thread with 46 posts. That makes four created pages. Now suppose that seven of the 46 are removed. The actual number of posts drops to 39, requiring only three pages. The "stuck" page counter still shows page four as existing. But when you click on the last page number, in this case page four, the software then looks for actual posts on page four. There aren't any. The software won't automatically drop back to the earlier page. Instead, it gives you a message that says something like "No Posts on This Topic."

In almost every case, when those posts were erased, the page counter did not drop back in synch with the actual number of remaining posts. If it were only a case of actual posts catching up to the page counter, the problem should have solved itself by now, in most instances. It may be that the counter continues to advance with each new post, perpetuating (as in the hypothetical) a seven-post spread.

That's reportedly the principal cause. Sadly, it's not the cure.

i hate!

Postby whatthe75 » January 11th, 2006, 10:18 pm

i hate people that dont respect people's choices or decisions.
e.g.
1 - People that crucify and attck me verbally when i tell them i dont want children. Yes i am in the minority but its my choice and people dont understand it. i can understand why people find it strange but there is no need to suddenly look at me as if i have just told them i have eaten their family.
2 - Christians that tell me about their religion and how i must believe in it. If your a chritian fair enough i have no problem with that.I am an athiest. I dont go around telling you to stop believing, so dont tell me to change my beliefs.

And people with a one track mind annoy me too. They can never see outside the box they live in. A lot of them fit into the two examples i have given above.

And as a last one,the other thing that annoys me is why no-one can explain why when i wake up every morning, i have a little piece of blue fluff in my belly button.

Ouch. Sorry people can't tolerate that. Personally, I do want children, but if you don't or can't I don't see why you should get attacked for it.

2 - Christians that tell me about their religion and how i must believe in it. If your a chritian fair enough i have no problem with that.I am an athiest. I dont go around telling you to stop believing, so dont tell me to change my beliefs.

Yes, I am Christian, but if you don't want to believe I will not try to make you. Just like I don't go around trying to convert Muslims, Jehovah's Witnesses... or atheists. With one exeption, and that would be my atheist girlfriend. I try with her because I have an actual chance of it, but I will never try to force her to. But I digress...

And people with a one track mind annoy me too. They can never see outside the box they live in. A lot of them fit into the two examples i have given above.

I hope I have thoroughly placed myself outside that category in your book. :)

And as a last one,the other thing that annoys me is why no-one can explain why when i wake up every morning, i have a little piece of blue fluff in my belly button.

Well, I am not sure just how, but if your sheets are blue, the fluff comes out of the sheets. But why the belly button? I have a theory that bellybuttons are Pac-men permanently attached to stomachs and disguised. During the night, it goes WANGA-WANGA-WANGA-WANGA-WANGA-WANGA-WANGA-WANGA-WANGA and eats the fluff from the sheets.

Well, so I don't spam the thread, I hate it when I have a political debate with people, and I try to post in a civilized manner, and the other person and I debate civilly, and some bonehead comes along and flames me for disagreeing with my opponent, who is

WAY more intelligent than a dolt like you could ever think of. So stop ****ing on the thread and calling it posts

Yeah, some guy actually wrote that about me on another site and forum.

Ahh yes. This one really gets me. I myself am NOT an athiest, but, it really doesn't matter. I have MADE UP MY OWN MIND about religion. Lets see that magical advice one more time.

I tell people I'm christian so they'll leave me alone but between all of us friends (or is it fiends?) here I am druidic and when asked outside of a group I'll confess without a problem it's just a lot less hassle to let people think I'm not a pagan... conversion is overrated anyways just ask anyone who used to play 2nd Ed

I will test the pacman theory tonight by placing a cheesy wotsit in my belly button and see if has been eaten in the morning. If so then i shall name him and keep him as a pet.Maybe he is bored with eating duvet and spits out the blue fluff in disgust.

What is the normal dietary requirements for pacman?

I personaly hate that we havent switched
to that engine that uses diffrent types of
fuel includeing gasoline.

If the price gets to high we dont need not drive around.
Just switch to the other fuel produced by plants.
It already works just as good as gasoline and
a whole country is already useing it.

The refit is cheap and it would save
us all a lot of trouble during these times.

Has any one realized that car companies are liquadating stock.
That only means one thing.
When people stop buying cars due to gas prices
their going to start fireing people again...!!!!.

I also hate when that Woman said she may
turn down running for president like mr Collin Powell did.

Personaly I think shed be trustable and if
she turns this down i,m going to personally protest a lot of things.

Loss of jobs and why no one is protesting for it.
The crappy financial issues forced opon us.
That their is going to obviosly be more job losses very soon
if we dont change.
What happend during Katrina due to
these money hungry fools who couldnt pay a few bucks extra
to fix what we already knew to be a disaster comming.
How she should feel it an obligation to run.
And how so many sane people pass up the presidency.

So if you see me on t,v sporting womans clothing
And waveing an american flag from a bridge top.
read the fu@#ing sign allrite.
Always in mind. And sadly twice as strong.
