Sure it's the old stereotype image of hypnosis, but in reality, it's not done that much. If anything, it's the thing stage hypnotists assure people they won't make them do.
I think it'd be appropriate if only for being the goofy stereotype thing, kinda like the image of the person doing the zombie walk with the arms outstretched when hypnotized. :)
