It was a terrible, terrible thing. Needless to say, the curse does not--can not--take into account any independent, intervening circumstances.

I think we are misunderstanding one another here. What I was answering was the question about whether the curse would pick up where it was left of - when lifted and then put back on, or whether it would start over from "square one". And my answer was, that whatever his subconscious thought would happen - would happen. Because if you don't absolutely explain to the subconscious in great detail what is going to happen, the subconscious will guess, and it will most likely take whatever possibility, that it imagines that the subject is most looking for to happen.
When a person repeatedly states that "I'm sick of my job", chances are that the subconscious will pick up on this deeply felt sentiment and say to itself "Oh - he want to be sick", and that will be responsible for him actually getting really sick - if he's susceptible enough. That actually happened to my own father! I believe he contracted fatal cancer this way! One should clearly be careful what one says! - You know the old saying that if you say something long enough it will be true for you.
I know nothing about anybody mixing viagra and curses. But are you sure that this is not just a good story someone made up? One should never mix drugs or medicine with hypnosis. Hypnosis is indeed a powerful tool and should not be taken lightly. It's OK to use for fun purposes, but one should always be responsible and never take risks. As you so often have advised: when in doubt about something - consult a doctor beforehand!
