Letter from my aunt

by canada

Chapter 1

This is based on a letter I received from my aunt after she discovered that I wore diapers.   Even though I told her I had an issue, I think she saw right though it and guessed at my secret - though we have never really talked directly about my diaper fetish.   I have taken a some creative licence with it, but the main part is true.  She did buy me some cloth diapers and onesizes and although she never did really change my diapers, she often checked to see if I was wet or would tell me to go change because she could tell I made an oopsie-poopsie in my diaper.

=======================================

Dear Chrissy

How is my darling baby doing?  Are you still going to try hard to potty train yourself so you can stop wearing those diapers and wear big boy panties again?   Well until you are potty trained, I thought these presents would come in very handy.  My friend Kristen makes clothing (diapers, shirts, sleepers, rompers and plastic panties) for infants and toddlers and I just couldn’t resist asking her to make you a set.   I know you disliked waddling around in just a t-shirt and diaper so I had her make you a few onezies, sleepers and diapers.  Now when I come to visit you or you come up to visit me, you can have your diapers covered but because the onezies and sleepers have snaps in the crotches I can easily check, and if necessary, change your wet or poopy diapers.

Now because I am not there to check your diapers all the time, you need to be a good little boy and change your diapers as soon as you go pee-pee or oopsie-poopsie so you don’t get any more of those nasty, painful diaper rashes.   To help prevent any more diaper rashes I have also included some diaper rash cream, baby powder and some baby oil.  At the first sign of redness, use plenty of diaper rash cream and lots of baby powder at every diaper change.   Not only will the baby powder help stop chafing and diaper rashes but it will help you smell nice even if you make an oopsie-poopsie in your diapie.

Kirsten (don’t worry, she is the only one that knows about you needing diapers) also said that using cloth diaper (she calls them nappies) would help cut now on diaper rashes.  I think you will be much more comfortable wearing the cloth diapers than those hot, scratchy disposable diapers and you can be so much more environmentally friendly.   Besides, with cloth diapers you can wear cute prints. I think you will look adorable in the animal print diapers and plastic panties.  They are so much more fun than the plain white diapers you have been wearing.  If you like these diapers, Kristen can make you more diapers with choo-choo trains, race cars,  ABCs, or even cute little blue and pink teddy bears.

Try out the cloth diapers and see what you think.  I know they will seem a little bulkier than your disposable diapers but they won’t leak as much and even a double diaper won’t be much thicker than you having to put a booster pad in your disposable diapers.   If you switch to cloth, you will need to have supplies for 5 or 6 days – that would mean you will need about 40 of the thinner daytime diapers and 6 of the double thick nighttime diapers.  You should also get about 10 diaper inserts and 10 pair of plastic panties.  This would mean you could go almost a week between washes.

Even though this is Kristen’s first time making diapers for such a big boy, she says that it would be just like making baby diapers and it will only cost you about 500 dollars.  That’s only a couple of months’ supply of your disposable diapers and these cloth diapers will last for years.

I know that you are thinking that dealing with cloth diapers will be hard, but really its not.  All you need to do is to fill your diaper pail one half full of water and add one cup of vinegar.   For wet diapers you just put them directly in the diaper pail.   Poopy diapers needs to be rinsed in the potty first, then put in the diaper pail.   To wash them, simply dump the entire diaper pail into the washing machine and add your soap.   Wash your diapers with non-bleaching detergent on hot-water cycle.  Never use a fabric softener as the diapers will not be as absorbent the next time.  If you dry the diapers on high heat it will make sure they are clean and sanitized.  Remember, never put your plastic panties in the dryer as they will melt.   Hang them to dry after washing them in vinegar water.

Please let me know if you want Kristen to go ahead and make the diapers.   If you like the onezie and sleeper, she can also make you some more of them.  You can have them in knit or fleece.   Kristen can also make you some cute, terry-lined training panties if your potty training goes well and you still need some protection but not a full diaper.   The training panties she makes for her other babies have a really fun Sesame Street print.

Just remember that potty training now is not much different than when you were six or seven.  Just like we did back then, the first step to successful potty training is knowing when you need to go pee-pee or oopsie-poopsie.  I know you are not quite at that stage yet, but when you start to feel the need to go before you wet or mess your diaper, then you know its time to think about potty training.

When you first start to feel the need to go potty, you can still use your diapers at the beginning.  Just to know you are going to go pee-pee or oopsie-poopsie and then trying to hold it is very good potty training practice.

Once your are able to hold your pee-pee and oopsie-poopsies for more than a couple of minutes, then you know you are ready to start using a potty like a big boy.  Remember it is very common to stop going oopsie-poopsie in your diapers before being potty trained for wet diapers.

Once you are at the potty training stage, it’s a good idea to try and sit on the potty several times a day for 5-10 minutes and see if you can make a pee-pee or oopsie-poopsie.  Little boys always find it easier to pee-pee when sitting down, not standing up like big boys.

Make sure you keep track of all your successes on a potty training calendar.  This way you can tell if your potty training is on track.  If you go more than a week where you haven’t used the potty more than once a day then put your potty training on hold. Not every baby is ready to use the potty at the same time.  It often takes several attempts at potty training before it works out.   Remember, we tried several times to potty train you starting when you were four.  It wasn’t until you were almost nine before you were daytime potty trained and you were ten before you were completely out of nighttime diapers.

I know it must be hard for a big boy such as yourself to wear diapers like a little baby again, but don’t rush your potty training.   Wet or messy panties will be much more embarrassing and harder to clean up than a wet or poopy diaper.  Don’t worry as I am sure you will eventually get back to wearing big boy panties again.   And even if you don’t, I think you look absolutely adorable in diapers and I don’t mind helping taking care of my little sweetie’s wet or stinky bum-bum whenever I am visiting.

See you soon and lots of love sweetie,

Auntie Sarah
