Chapter 1

Luke Johnson was a pretty average 22 year old guy who lived a rather ordinary life. For a few years, he had followed the same routine: get up, go to work, come home, surf the net, and go to bed. Luke didn't much care for his job, and didn't have much of a social life... really, the only thing he actually enjoyed about his life was his time online. Perhaps that wasn't the best habit, as Luke weighed in at 220 pounds and spending a little less time on the computer and a little more time exercising certainly wouldn't have been a bad thing.

Luke would spend hours on end surfing the net, and while he wasted a lot of his time checking out the latest viral videos and up-and-coming web sites, every now and then he'd stumble across something interesting. The Wiki was, perhaps, the most interesting of his discoveries.

He found it by accident... he was trying to log on to Wikipedia when an altogether different site appeared. Simply titled "The Wiki," it claimed to be "a better Wikipedia -- 100% accurate." Intrigued by the site, Luke set up an account and spent a bit of time checking out topics he was familiar with. As the site claimed, he couldn't find a single incorrect fact... surprising, as Luke had looked up some pretty obscure articles which were (unsurprisingly) not entirely accurately represented in Wikipedia.

As Luke continued to surf the site, he noticed that every few seconds, a message at the top of the screen would indicate an article had been edited -- the strange thing was, it seemed that user profiles were changed more often than anything else on the site. Luke watched the change list continually update -- and as he did, he noticed something odd -- the change list showed that someone had updated HIS profile.

Curious, he clicked his name on the update list -- beginning to feel a strange, warm sensation as he did -- and started looking through the article. It was incredibly detailed -- he wondered, a bit nervously, how anyone using the site could have gotten so much information about him so quickly.

As Luke skimmed his profile page, he felt the weird, warm sensation growing stronger -- and he noticed his shirt was beginning to feel very tight. He glanced down, quickly doing a double-take -- his shirt, which just a moment ago had pushed up against his gut, was now skintight in an entirely different way. Somehow, he'd lost the gut he'd gotten from years in front of a computer, and gained a ton of muscle in its place -- massive, toned pecs now pushed up against the front of his shirt, and bulging biceps were stretching his sleeves... clearly, he had six-pack abs where his gut used to be, and his legs had grown much more muscular, too, stretching his shorts almost to the breaking point.

Startled and confused about his transformation -- yet ecstatic about his new physique -- Luke glanced back up at the computer screen... and that's when he noticed it: a big, bold line of text listed in his profile information on the Wiki. A line of text that said "Profession: Bodybuilder."

Confused, Luke clicked the "revision history" tab. Sure enough... the one thing that had been changed about his profile was his profession. At that point, Luke started putting two and two together, suspecting what was going on -- was the information on this site 100% accurate because it was impossible to enter false data? If someone changed something on the site, would it change in real life? He suspected there was only one way to find out... still on his profile page, Luke clicked "Edit..."

As the "Edit Profile" page appeared, Luke wondered just how much he could change about himself by editing The Wiki. After all, someone else's edit had just turned him into a massive, muscular bodybuilder... but that's something that could have happened without the help of this strange web site, even if it would have taken a lot of work.

Skimming through his profile, Luke was surprised to see that just about every detail there was to know about his physique and life as a whole was listed. Everything from his build (which now read "6', 230 lbs, muscular") to his sexual orientation ("straight") to his clothing preferences ("... generally wears a t-shirt and shorts with boxers for underwear ...") was listed... and there was plenty of more obscure information as well -- the site listed him as "entirely human," with an almost scary amount of detail -- it seemed to know every little thing about him.

As Luke continued to read through his profile, he found a bit of information that intrigued him -- and he knew what to edit next.

As he read through his profile description, Luke noticed his ears were listed as "human." Grinning, he wondered if he could change that -- it didn't seem to be that unrealistic, given what he'd just been through.

Hitting the backspace key a few times, Luke replaced the word "human" with "werewolf..." and almost immediately, he began to feel a strange sort of tugging sensation. He felt his ears, and it was very clear that they were growing larger; more triangular in shape. As they gained the very distinct, pointed look of werewolf ears, a bit of brown fur began to cover them... and within a few seconds, Luke's hair had grown a bit scruffier to match the new coat of fur on his ears.

Luke smiled, quite amused with the new change.

As Luke contemplated whether to keep the werewolf ears he had just given himself or go back a more normal look, he began to feel an itching sensation on his chest.... a sensation very similar to that which he felt during his other changes. Looking rather nervous, he glanced at the computer screen -- and saw that his profile was listed twice in a row under "recent changes!"

He quickly pulled up his profile page, hitting the "Revision History" tab to see what was going on -- and starting to feel quite warm as he did. As he started to look for the latest revision, Luke took off his shirt to try and cool down -- and was extremely startled to see a layer of thick, brown fur trailing down his abs and into his pants. Even more startling was the fact that the fur was clearly spreading -- as Luke watched, the fur completely covered his abs and spread upward, beginning to grow on his massive pecs as well.

Luke glanced back at his computer, finally finding the latest revision to his profile. Someone had changed the line "Body Hair: None" to "Body Hair: Excessive, fast-growing werewolf fur." Luke got even more nervous -- someone else had changed his profile and put him in a very hairy situation...

Even while he had been reading his profile, Luke had continued getting furrier -- his chest had now grown such a thick coat of fur that his muscles could hardly be seen under it, and his arms were growing quite furry as well. A scruffy layer of fur had covered his face, and there was no sign of any stop to the growth...
